Restaurants ,shopping centres, supermarkets and tourist attractions are nearby! The hotel closes to public transportation. Btw, the design of the hotel is modern and relax! The staff in hotel restaurant are very nice and helpful. The price of room is reasonable as it also includes breakfast buffet. You will never feel bored and no worries about wt to eat in the morning. Highly recommend this hotel if you go to Gold Coast!
The hotel is easy to find. The staff are very accommodating and welcoming. For those who prefer just laying out on the beach, this hotel is highly recommended given that it is very near the beach and beach towels are also available. For those who prefer going around the city, this hotel is also highly recommended given that its near a tram line and bus station.

The service staff is very enthusiastic who makes people feel happy. Many choices of breakfast and have a good environment. The room is very comfortable and the bed is great to sleep. Super close to the station, the traffic is convenient. Really enjoyed everything about my stay at The Island, from the friendly reception staff to the big comfy, clean room, location was excellent right in the heart of all the action in Surfers Paradise and only a short walk from the G tram stop.
Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. We have stayed here before and loved it so we booked in again, this time opting for a better type of room.. The location of the hotel is good, walking distance to the tram, as well as the shopping areas and the beach. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room is big and bed are so comfy! The only disadvantage that I could think of is the lack of gym. Location of hotel is fantastic, just a few mins walk from Cavill Ave station and the beach.
The hotel looks old in the exterior, but was fully renovated. Lift and walkway is the old school style. Theme of hotel seems wood. Breakfast buffet spread is good too. Receptionist goes an extra mile and help us to print our voucher for Dreamworld. My partner and I stayed at The Island over January. It had the best location, only one minute walk from Cavil Avenue tram stop and less than a 5 minute walk from the beach. The king bed room was very clean, spacious and the sea view was a great touch.
The breakfast was great, with many options to choose from. The pool was very clean and had a spacious area to lounge around in.

All staff were so nice throughout our stay, particularly Nate who was extremely helpful and very polite. He ensured our holiday was very relaxing and that we were constantly happy with our stay. Despite other reviews complaining about the noise and limited breakfast options, we had no issues with this whatsoever.
The Island is a great place for either a quick getaway or long holiday on the Gold Coast and I would highly recommend for others to stay here. We will definitely be returning, thanks! Happy to be placed on the top floor 11F with a view!

If lower floors, i would imagine it to be quite noisy. Bathroom was a bit small but manageable. Room layout was very spacious and comfortable. The room was what u expected. Great location and lots of space.
Bed was comfy and staff were extra friendly. Only thing I can pick out was the smell of the room. Needed to be aired out or sprayed and Sunday sesh can be noisy if you are on a lower level. Location is walking distance to Tram, bus station, beach, a lot of restaurant, supermarket and many attraction. Room is big with 2 Queenbeds inside.
Staffs are helpfull. Breakfast is quite simple, the light breakfast, not many choices, But overall, the hotel is good, and I will stay there again if I go to Gold Coast. This supposed 4. It had a tired and shabby feel about it.
I was expecting slippers and bathrobe in the bedroom but no such "luxuries" on hand and only the basic free to air channels on TV. Fake cactus in the bathroom - not a good look. Breakfast was also disappointing. The "hot" food was barely warm. Plenty of food on offer but all very bland. Miso soup a shocker.

There was a mix of real plants and fake plants on the table, and a mixture of both on some tables. Really enjoyed our stay. Every member of staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Food was excellent and best priced of all the restaurants we went to.
